Using DaVinci Resolve’s Remote Monitoring Feature

Grading for a remote client? You can now share your screen over the internet directly within DaVinci Resolve.

Being able to share your screen is a Studio-only feature.

A client can view a stream on a computer with Resolve Studio, or on an iPhone or iPad using the FREE Remote Monitoring app.

If you’ve previously been using Zoom or other similar solutions, this is a great alternative.

It’s easy, it’s fast, and it’s color managed!

So you can feel confident that your client is getting a good quality image that closely matches what you see on your reference monitor. It’s even compatible with HDR.

  2. Hi, does the remote monitoring feature have a minimum hardware requirement? As the option in the menu is greyed out, I have the studio version fully up to date.

    Thanks
    Matt

  3. I have just tested Remote Monitoring. I am running 18.6 Studio on 14” M2 MBP. I emailed the code to myself and opened the app on my iPhone 14. I started a 15 minute clip on my timeline and had my wife scrub the clip for me. I took my phone and walked down the block so that I was on my phone’s data. The playback was smooth. Video and audio. I also connected to my neighbors network, and again it worked great. I will be working on a project with a colleague in a different city in a few days. We both have gig fiber internet so it should work great.

  4. Hi…
I was wondering, is the remote monitoring feature only available on the paid version of Davinci?
or is the feature available on the free version also? Thank you in advance
