Fusion’s recent addition of a MultiMerge tool opens up some new ways to organize your node tree.
If you’d like to have somewhat of a layer-based workflow for some of your Fusion comps, this is a cool tool to try out.
Ultimately, for full control of every step in your Node Flow, I think it make the most sense to keep using regular merges.
But for quickly connecting a few elements, the new flexibility of the MultiMerge is very cool.
In this video from Casey Faris, you’ll learn about:
- How nodes normally work
- What the MultiMerge tool does
- Adjusting settings
- Renaming layers
- Deciding where and whether to use it
- Resetting only one layer
