Here’s a couple new quality of life features for editors.
As of DaVinci Resolve 18.1, you can now trim parts of gaps.
You used to easily be able to delete an entire gap between clips, but what if you only wanted to trim to playhead? Now you can!
Also, adding tracks is easier too. It no longer requires multiple steps to add a track and then move it to the correct location. You can just add it where you want.
In this video from Jason Yadlovski, you’ll learn about:
- Ripple deleting a gap
- The old way of doing things
- Trim to start
- Trim to end
- Finding the shortcuts and commands in the menu
- Adding a track
