Ever wanted to put a spaceship in your footage?
There are a lot of steps to make it happen, but Bernd at VFXstudy has created a multi-part series on how to do it.
First we import our 3D model and media into Fusion.
Next we work on tracking our assets and animating.
Then in order to affect the ground, we’ll use a planar tracker. Also some paint effects to change our background plate.
Now we learn about a multipass composite. No, not a prop from The Fifth Element.
And finally, the finishing touches.
This is rather comprehensive and can get complicated if you’re new to 3D or compositing, so take it slow and try one step at a time.
Enjoy!
