How to Trim and Align Clips in Fusion

You may have noticed something about Fusion’s main interface.

There’s no way to retime things!

Or is there?

With the default setup of nodes and viewers, there’s only ways to composite. You can change timing of things with a few nodes, but you can’t easily control the length of elements in the node area.

But there is a way! Just open up the keyframes editor and you’ll be able to drag or trim your nodes.

In this video from Casey Faris, you’ll learn about:

  • Finding the keyframes panel
  • Adjusting keyframe timing
  • Dragging a node to change timing
  • Trimming a node to shorten the clip
