Update time! A relatively minor update with some support for new formats and fixes.
Mainly, Panasonic AVC encoding is supported, and some issues with other formats have been solved.
New features are likely coming is DaVinci Resolve 19, so we’ll see what happens in the coming months when that’s announced!
From BMD:
Today we announced DaVinci Resolve 18.6.6 update, which adds support for encoding AVC MXF Op Atom formats, allowing you to make quick edits, write in the same format, and export without any loss of quality.
This update also adds improved alpha channel interpretation for QuickTime files. This means media with baked in transparency will now display correctly when being added to your project. There is also better media management of 8K X-OCN clips so they can be trimmed losslessly.
As always, be sure to back up your project library before updating.
