Improving Resolve’s Performance: Cache Levels

Resolve is a demanding app, but there are many ways to optimize performance.

On of those is the cache. Caching is the ability to essentially pre-render clips so they play back in real time.

No stuttering or sputtering as you go.

In DaVinci Resolve, there’s Smart cache, user mode, Fusion cache, and more!

There are a lot of setting to be aware of but if you work in Resolve regularly, you know that small performance boosts can save you a lot of time.
